Grace Chia

Grace completed her Bachelor of Commerce in 2005 and Bachelor of Economics (with first class honours) in 2006. Both degrees were undertaken at the University of Western Australia. Grace is currently employed at Woodside on the Finance graduate program and expected to complete the program in October 2010. Prior to joining Woodside, Grace was working in the UWA Business School as an economics research assistant and tutor for Financial Accounting, Microeconomics and Macroeconomics.

Grace attended the PhD Conference in Economics and Business held in Perth in 2005 as a Mannkal Scholar. She also attended the National Honours Colloquim held in Sydney in August, 2006 where she presented part of her findings in her honours dissertation. She was subsequently interviewed and featured in the tertiary section of The Australian on 23 August 2006.

Grace wrote, for her Honours thesis, a paper called: "What influcences a graduate's starting salary?". This was subsequently jointly published with Professor Paul Miller as "Tertiary Performance, Field of Study and Graduate Starting Salaries" in The Australian Economic Review, vol. 41, no. 1, pp.15-3.
